Kimberly Baker Jewelry

Yesterday my dear friends Sarah and Lisa from LA were in town, and they took me shopping in Fremont, the Seattle neighborhood they used to live in before they were whisked away to the California sunshine.

One of the gems they showed me was a small shop filled to the brim with gorgeous rings, necklaces, bracelets and earrings. The minute I set foot inside there, wasting no time trying rings on all ten fingers, I knew this was going to be a new Seattle favorite for me. Jewelry designer and and boutique owner Kimberly Baker was there to show us all of her beautifully made designs in 18 karat gold vermeil and sterling silver, which she has been creating since a very early age.
As a child she was inspired by her mother's jewelry box, which was set up as an altar between meditation chimes, Buddha statues and incense with no hierarchy between ornaments of worship and embellishment. Watching her mom get dressed was seen as a ritual, and jewelry and perfume were a part of every morning.
Kimberly is mainly self-taught, and her travel inspired contemporary designs translate that what stirs her imagination into objects of true beauty.

I've posted some of my favorites below, but you should definitely check out the full collection for yourself if you're ever in the neighborhood or in Kimberly's webshop.
