Honey Badger Mugs

If you’re wondering what/who the Honey Badger is, you probably won’t understand these mugs. Basically it’s an uncouth 'nature video' documenting the honey badger. It’s become a viral phenomenon and it's pretty amazing. I’d suggest watching the video on YouTube, unless you’re easily offended by colorful language or honey badgers. Anyhow, Jen Ray (a.k.a. corduroy on Etsy) has created this hilarious series of mugs that serve as a daily reminder that the “Honey Badger don’t care”.

Christian Louboutin Autumn Winter 2011 Photos by Peter Lippmann

For his Autumn Winter 2011 lookbook Christian Louboutin collaborated with renowned photographer Peter Lippmann. The seven images are inspired by classic portrait paintings, and show recreations of iconic works featuring the new Louboutin pieces, adding a contemporary twist. 

The theme of the collaboration is ‘the power of femininity’. To me this is not just another look book, but a work of art. Stunningly beautiful!

After losing a large portion of whatever little street cred I had by posting that adorable hummingbird video, I can't help but carelessly wave the last bits of it goodbye by sharing yet another YouTube gem.

Copalis Beach

We just got back from a weekend trip to Copalis Beach where Max's family has a cabin by the ocean. We had some fun out there in the middle of nowhere, showing Joscha and Justin (our visiting friends from Amsterdam) a little bit more of the Pacific North West. We occupied ourselves with things that locals do, like drinking, target practice shooting, dice games, beach combing and playing shuffle board. Unfortunately there was no clam tide, otherwise we could have done some clam digging as well, which would for sure have been a 'special' experience for our city guests. 

It's really becoming a bit of a nuisance that I don't have a digital camera (our last one died on a sandy beach in Sicily), but I can share a few cell phone pictures mixed in with some recycled pics from a previous trip there.
