Oops!
Look what was just delivered to my doorstep. Natasha is here! She's awesome and ready to get all soft and worn in. After reading the comments on my original post about this bag I just couldn't resist. You know, online shopping is just way too tempting for me. The internet made me do it.

Awesome Glasses
Aren't these fabulous? This picture also makes me want to change my hair color again. I think I'm done with my current copper hue. The upkeep is way too much work since my hair grows so fast!

Purse Conundrum
Here's the deal: I've always had an eye on the Marc by Marc Jacobs Natasha bag, but somehow never bought it when it was in stock. Massive error on my side, obviously! So now that my friend Ilonka (top notch fashionista and fellow sucker for Marc) pointed out that 'The Natasha is back' I'm having a really hard time staying calm...
I'm going on month six of self-inflicted funemployment now, so I'm not exactly in a position to throw around wads of cash on cute purses. But I really want it. And my credit card is burning in my pocket. You know, there's things to consider. Like, what if it will be discontinued again? Or what if they will never make another cute black shoulder bag on the planet ever again? What if this is my only chance to bag heaven, people?!
Would you buy it? Advice in the comments section below please!

Bed Peace
I have written before about Bed Peace, John Lennon & Yoko Ono's 1969 campaign for world Peace. But never before was I able to show you the film the couple made about it. Now, in light of recent events across the globe, Yoko Ono has made the full length documentary available on YouTube. It can be seen until August 21st.
If you have a moment, check it out to be reminded of more optimistic days and be inspired by their mission.
Below you can read the messages that Yoko posted for all YouTube viewers:
Dear Friends,
In 1969, John and I were so naïve to think that doing the Bed-In would help change the world.
Well, it might have. But at the time, we didn't know.
It was good that we filmed it, though.
The film is powerful now.
What we said then could have been said now.
In fact, there are things that we said then in the film, which may give some encouragement and inspiration to the activists of today. Good luck to us all.
Let's remember WAR IS OVER if we want it.
It's up to us, and nobody else.
John would have wanted to say that.
Love, yoko

ABOUT BED PEACE
1969 was the year that John & Yoko intensified their long running campaign for World Peace. They approached the task with the same entrepreneurial expertise as an advertising agency selling a brand of soap powder to the masses. John & Yoko's product however was PEACE, not soft soap, and they were determined to use any slogan, event and gimmick in order to persuade the World to buy it.
BED PEACE (directed by Yoko & John and filmed by Nic Knowland) is a document of the Montreal events and features John & Yoko in conversation with, amongst others, The World Press, satirist Al Capp, activist Dick Gregory, comedian Tommy Smothers, protesters at Berkeley's People's Park, Rabbi Abraham L. Feinberg, quiltmaker Christine Kemp, psychologists Timothy Leary & Rosemary Leary, CFOX DJs Charles P. Rodney Chandler & Roger Scott, producer André Perry, journalist Ritchie York, DJ & Promoter Murray The K, filmmaker Jonas Mekas, publicist Derek Taylor & personal assistant Anthony Fawcett.
Featured songs are Plastic Ono Band's GIVE PEACE A CHANCE & INSTANT KARMA, Yoko's REMEMBER LOVE & WHO HAS SEEN THE WIND & John's acoustic version of BECAUSE.

Jean-Michel Basquiat (1960/12/22 – 1988/08/12)
This is a song for the genius child.
Sing it softly, for the song is wild.
Sing it softly as ever you can -
Lest the song get out of hand.
Sing it softly, for the song is wild.
Sing it softly as ever you can -
Lest the song get out of hand.
Nobody loves a genius child.
Can you love an eagle,
Tame or wild?
Can you love an eagle,
Wild or tame?
Can you love a monster
Of frightening name?
Tame or wild?
Can you love an eagle,
Wild or tame?
Can you love a monster
Of frightening name?
Nobody loves a genius child.
Kill him - and let his soul run wild.
- Langston Hughes

Daddy's Little Girl Ain't A Girl No More
Ever since the Nirvana days I followed lil' Frances Bean Cobain. A tiny enigma waiting to bloom. And now that she's 18 years old and almost all grown up I have to say I think she turned out gorgeous. Being the offspring of grunge, and growing up the way she did, I almost expected her to become a little more conservative... rebelling against her roots. But I suppose being cool just runs through her veins. And so thinks Hedi Slimane, who captured her in this amazing series for his blog.
