Super Pooch
On the corner of creepy and WTF, Korean scientists have created a glow in the dark dog. Yes, you read it right. This dog is not just the most awesome sidekick to take to a rave. According to the scientists the dog's glowing powers could help find cures for human diseases like Alzheimer's and Parkinson's. The beagle's glowing ability can be turned on or off with medicine which according to lead researcher Lee Byeong-chun, "opens new horizons since the gene injected to make the dog glow can be substituted with genes that trigger fatal human diseases." Rad!

Advanced Style
Wether you are freaking out about getting older or impatiently waiting for some distinguished silver hairs around your temples, there is hope for those of us that are concerned that sense of style fades with age.
Street style blog Advanced Style highlights the possibility of being cool and stylish well into your nineties. Blog creator Ari Cohen says: "We have started a blog that documents street style and fashion of the mature and wizened. Our aim is to take photos of elders with a unique sense of personal style that has developed with age. We noticed so many amazingly dressed older people in New York and are having a great time getting to know them, hearing their stories and capturing a bit of their style to share with others."
Aren't these outfits amazing? I want to be like these ladies when I grow old!

Worms From Hell
About a month ago scientists reported they had discovered tiny little critters in the subsurface biosphere, and they managed to take an amazing headshot of one of them. These minuscule creepy looking guys totally remind me of the movie Tremors, by the way. Ewww!

Hello Sunshine!
I'm leaving today to go and spend some time with my man who is down in LA for work. He has already been gone for a whole week today, so I am very happy to see him again! Also, sun, sea and poolside lounging? Not so bad!

Spotify Has Landed In The US Today
I'm so excited... I'll be on this non-stop!
Marits Livingroom Restaurant
A lovely new restaurant just opened in Amsterdam, and I just have to share the news with you. We are talking about the love child of my dear friend Marit who, after many years as a food loving fashion designer, has finally found her true calling and leapt into the culinary world as chef, owner, decorator and most charming hostess at Marits Livingroom Restaurant.
Marits is about delicious food without meat or fish: a sensorial experience of pure cuisine it all its abundant simplicity, served with a distinctive eye for detail. The restaurant is situated in Marit's spacious living room (where actual living is being done when all guests have gone home), which adds to the cozy atmosphere and relaxed, informal setting. In Winter you'll even feel more at home sitting by the wood burning fireplace, and in Summer the blossoming garden is open.
For those of you that know Marit it should come as no surprise that in Marit's kitchen you will only find products that have been produced with respect for environment, people and animals. Most of the foods are produced organic, local, sustainable and fair-trade. And the meals are prepared with the same love and care, and with the utmost attention to presentation.

It is the perfect place for a celebratory dinner in a private setting. For most people, their living room and kitchen are not suitable. At Marits you can can just enjoy her living room for the night, and bring your family and friends and cook them a dinner together with Marit. Or if you're more into full-on pampering you can also leave everything to Marit, who loves to cook for you! And how awesome is it, when after the last course has been served you can just enjoy some after dinner drinks with your friends at the table and not worry about dishes? Sweet!

Ok... you've probably already seen this, and yes, I know it's a hoax. But isn't it brilliant? I kind of wish this was real!

I'm Still Here!
I took a little blog break and I didn't even let you know in advance. How rude! It just kind of snook up on me with the weather getting so nice outside, being away for two long weekends in a row and generally suffering from internet overkill. But now I'm fully refreshed and ready for more blogging, which is right in time because I'm starting to receive messages left and right from people that are 'fed up with albino animals' and others complaining that their morning office routine is ruined without my updates to compliment their first cup of coffee. Sorry people, I'm back now! I will post something more elaborate tomorrow, but I just thought I'd let you know that this blog is still alive.
