Chloë Sevigny x Opening Ceremony - Resort 2012

Yesterday the very first Chloë Sevigny for Opening Ceremony runway show saw the light of day. The show, which was hosted in an old youth center gym in Nolita, featured some girlish eyelet minidresses, daring laser cut leather, and denim playsuits with leather insets. All designs winked to a nineties high school theme, but also seemed inspired by New York street fashion. 

As for the diverse model cast Chloë said: "I wanted to do young and old and different kind of body shapes. A girl you could see hanging out in Tompkins Square Park, or your friend, or your friend's pretty friend. I wanted to look like they could all be hanging out together." 
Even though it was hit and miss with the model casting, and some of the garments weren't flattering on a few of the girls (not pictured below, but you can see the rest of the shots here), I think that concept is super cute. A for effort!
