Stud Muffins

Whoever said studs are over is obviously wrong, because I am 100% swooning over these studded boots by Bess and the spiked Sam Edelman ankle boots. Would it be wrong to get both?

A Not So Humble Abode

In Manhattan everything is possible... even having a swimming pool in your townhouse living room. If you have 10.95 Million laying around, this sweet pad could be yours!

One Mile High

First and foremost I'd like it to be known that for the past 15 years or so, I have not worked out. I know, I know, that's really bad for you. But as I never had any weight issues, I just didn't see the need for excercise. Now that I have a lot more free time than I'm used to, and bikini season is almost here, I decided it was time for a work out though.

I started going to a Pilates mat class once a week, which is all going quite well. And I decided to get some much needed cardio in, by going for a run. Well... that was easier said than done. The first time I went, I was seriously out of breath after only a block. Shock horror! I honestly thought I was in better shape than that, but I suppose years of parties and desk work had finally taken their toll.

When I have my mind set to something I can be quite stubborn though, so I decided to keep running every other day for the past two weeks. I have been alternating running and brisk walking because otherwise I couldn't keep going for very long. Everytime I'd go for my jog, the running part would get a slight bit longer. And yesterday, for the first time, I ran a whole mile without walking in between. After this silly little milestone, I am now confident enough to keep going. I'm aiming for a five mile run now, and I'm posting it here because it will be a good motivator for me, and it will give me a sense of accountability. So here it is peeps... I'm training for a five mile run. Hold me to it please!
